Founded in 1982, Buffalo Airways received a certificate to provide passengar and cargo charters. The company's first passenger operation was called Classic Air which was based in Las Vegas. The first aircraft was a B-707 and Classic used BAC 1-11's but the Classic operation only lasted one year. Buffalo them acquired two DC-8's but they were sold in 1995 which ended Buffalo's activity. In June 1996, their DOT certifcate was suspended.
